Cestreham House Aims & Objectives
|
|
All of the individuals residing at Cestreham House will have some form of physical health difficulties and require input from qualified nursing staff on a daily basis.
In order to provide a holistic, high quality service to its residents, the staff team at Cestreham House will aim:-
|
- to provide good quality pre-admission assessment of physical and emotional health needs
- to devise a care plan in conjunction with the resident and their family which sets out exactly what care they can expect to receive and why
- to provide an environment which is homely, safe and predictable
- to ensure residents have access to all the appropriate health professionals
- to provide an appropriately qualified and skilled multi-disciplinary staff team.
- to acknowledge and respect the individual as a person rather than a ‘diagnosis’
|
- to actively encourage and facilitate individuals to follow their own customs, beliefs and religion.
- to encourage choice and involvement to the level the individual can cope with.
- to provide positive social experiences within and outside of the unit.
- to review and document all of the resident’s progress and achievements.
- to support and encourage residents to move back to their own home or into alternative residential accommodation when fit to do so.
- to support residents to develop positive self esteem and to be involved in meaningful therapeutic activities
