Externally Chesham Care intends to preserve as much of the existing tree screening as possible. There will be parking for approximately 80 cars on site in dedicated spaces around the perimeter, well screened by the trees. The remainder of the site will either be landscaped into garden areas with patios which are accessed by wheelchair friendly paths, or, where appropriate, left in it’s natural state i.e. trees and shrubbery. The land to the rear of the site will be left in it’s natural state but appropriately managed through a woodland management plan. Such a plan will encourage healthier plant/tree growth and support wildlife to thrive.
The gate towards the rear of the site leading to the public footpath will be refurbished and opened for use by staff. Staff will access the site via this gate with the use of a swipe card or pin number. This gate is unlikely to be unavailable for use by the general public.
The entrance to the site off of Hospital Hill will be an attractively landscaped driveway and footpath leading to the reception area.
